We are not looking for a developer.We are looking for a builder.

What you will do

You do not have to bring in new clients, but once a project is running, you own it: you lead it independently and you are the client's direct point of contact.

You ask questions until you understand the problem, make technical choices and build the solution through to launch. You watch what fits within the agreements, keep the client informed and explain when a different solution is better. After delivery, you keep improving and solving problems.

We work for agencies and their clients, and directly for companies. The work ranges from a new website or web app to new features and improvements to existing webshops. Examples from our work:

• TEVEO: a Shopify webshop for sportswear. We improve the shop and keep it fast for visitors from different countries.
• O'Neill: improvements to the Shopify webshop of the surf and clothing brand, with attention to speed and reliability.
• Skantrae: a website where visitors can view and configure doors.
• Grego: a platform for bookings and payments, where personal data has to be processed securely.

What you work with

TypeScript, GitHub, Astro, Shopify, Tailwind and AI tooling. This is what we build with today. You work with TypeScript and GitHub every day and find your way in the rest of the stack. You keep learning when the work asks for something else.

You direct multiple AI agents for development, testing and research. You use your technical knowledge to judge the output, test whether the solution works and stay responsible yourself for what goes live.

Who you are

To us, senior means that you make technical choices independently, hold client conversations and carry a product from problem to launch. You show this with work for which you took that responsibility.

• You already work intensively with AI: you direct multiple AI threads at the same time and keep track of the tasks and results.
• You have proven experience with client communication, move quickly and easily pick up the phone. You ask follow-up questions and make technical choices understandable.
• You are curious, take initiative and keep learning. You also take responsibility when something is not your fault and say honestly what you think.
• You speak Dutch and live in the Netherlands. You mainly work from home. We count on you being in Groningen once a week.

How we work

Building matters more than meeting. Version 1 teaches us more than ten brainstorming sessions. We experiment, test and improve.

Making mistakes is allowed. Hiding them is not. We keep our agreements and build as if the company were our own. If you would rather wait for a task list or pass responsibility on, this role is probably not a good fit.

We start with a conversation about you, your work and what matters to you. Then follows a practical case: we look at how you think, the questions you ask and how you approach the problem. In follow-up conversations we explore whether the partnership also works in the long term.
